HYDERABAD, July 25: Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal leader Dr Sahibzada Abul Khair Mohammad Zubair, MNA, has demanded that the government should tender its resignation because it has failed to play its role on the Middle East crisis.
Speaking at a press conference at the press club on Tuesday, he said that inhuman atrocities had been unleashed on the Muslim Ummah and 800,000 Indian army troops had been deployed in Kashmir to crush the just struggle of the people of occupied Kashmir.
He said that genocide of Muslims was being committed in Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq and Afghanistan.
He said that the US had resorted to open terrorism by supporting Israel but Pakistani and other Muslim rulers were witnessing genocide of Muslims as silent spectators.
He said that Pakistan should have performed the role of a leader of the Muslim world against atrocities but it had even failed to convene the OIC meeting.
He said that Indians were blaming Pakistan for every act of terrorism in their country and had refused to resume peace talks but Pakistan had adopted a policy of appeasement towards India.
He said that the innocent people were being killed in Waziristan and Balochistan and added that Gen Pervez Musharraf was the root cause of all ills.
He said that the situation had come to such a pass that even retired generals had advised Gen Musharraf to take off his uniform.
He said that corruption had crossed all limits and quoted the example of the Pakistan Steel and the KESC.
He said that the stock exchange scandal was there for everyone to see in which some big names were involved.
He said that load-shedding and price hike had made the life of the people miserable and large scale murders, kidnappings and terrorism had become the order of the day and the government had miserably failed to control lawlessness.
He said that no one would be allowed to tamper with Hudood laws. About the Hyderabad city government proposal, he said that it had its own significance but refused to accept the proposal on the ground that it was not feasible as long as the ethnic administration remained in power.
