ISLAMABAD: An Additional District and Sessions Court on Tuesday issued arrest warrants for former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister Ali Amin Gandapur in an audio leak case registered at Golra Police Station.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Hakim Khan Bakhar issued the warrants after Gandapur and his co-accused failed to appear before the court during the hearing.
The absence of the accused also prevented the prosecution from recording the statements of its witnesses.
Taking note of their non-appearance, the court ordered the issuance of arrest warrants against the former chief minister.
The court subsequently adjourned further proceedings in the case until October 17.
The case pertains to an alleged audio leak and was registered at Golra Police Station, Islamabad, against Ali Amin Gandapur and others.
