LAHORE: The second day of the ombudsman conference held at a local hotel featured three panel discussions on different dimensions of ombudsmanship and institutional development, says a release.
The first panel, titled “The evolving role of ombudsman institutions in strengthening good governance” included Zambia Public Protector Caroline C. Zulu, Mauritius
High Commissioner Munsoo Kurrimbaccus among others.
The second panel discussed “Quality excellence in digital transformation in Ombudsman institutions.”
The third panel focused on “Institutional best practices in strengthening ombudsmanship”. It featured Ukraine’s First Ombudsman Dr Prof Ms Nina Karpacheva, Azerbaijan Ombudsman Deputy Head Rashid Rumzada and others.
The delegates actively participated in question-answer sessions, sharing their experiences and perspectives on improving complaint redressal mechanisms.
