SUKKUR: IBA workshop concludes

SUKKUR July 28: The Institute of Business Adminis-tration (IBA) organised a three-day international workshop on Quantitative Finance and Risk Management which concluded here on Thursday.

The workshop was addressed by Prof. Dr. A.Q.M Khalique of USA, Prof. Dr. F.M. Bhatti of LUMS and Prof. Dr. Ejaz Ahmed of CBM, Karachi.

The participants from within the country including Prof. Dr. Abdul Wahab, Vice Chancellor, Mohammad Ali Jinnah Univer-sity also addressed the workshop.

Students of mathematics, business management and finance took keen interest in the proceedings of the workshop. Major topics of the seminar included dynamics of stock prices, portfolio management besides forward and future contracts options.

General properties pricing options, black-scholes model, monte-carlo model and hedging options were discussed in detail.
