KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan’s foreign exchange reserves rose by $16 million to $21.469 billion during the week ended on Oct 9, reported the central bank on Thursday.

The SBP has maintained a record-high increase in reserves since inflows of $3bn from the sale of Eurobonds, despite a rising trade deficit.

The country’s total reserves reached $26.863bn during the week, including $5.393bn held by commercial banks.
