LAKKI MARWAT: Four terrorists were arrested, and their hideouts were destroyed during a search and strike operation in Lakki Marwat district on Sunday.

District police officer Sajjad Ahmad Sahibzada led the operation, which was carried out simultaneously in remote, hard-to-reach areas within the limits of Lakki, Saddar, and Dadiwala police stations.

“The Counter-Terrorism Department, Al-Barq, Elite Force, Rapid Response Force and Bomb Disposal Squad personnel backed by armoured personnel carriers also took part in the daylong offensive against terrorists,” an official said.

He said that the law enforcers searched the potential hideouts of terrorists and carried out close surveillance of any suspicious activities or movements of anti-peace elements.

“During the operation, the police officials used advanced gadgets and drones for aerial monitoring of various areas, ensuring effective oversight of sensitive sites and the detection of any potential movement by terrorists,” he said.

The official said police teams carried out a coordinated strategy to maintain law and order in the region.

“The law enforcement personnel captured four wanted men and destroyed the hideouts of terrorists in Nawarkhel, Jabbarkhel, Wanda Mir Alam, Darra Tang, Wanda Daulati, Land Ahmadkhel, Sultankhel, Kachi Kamar, and Shenway,” he said, adding that the police also seized arms and ammunition from the hideouts of miscreants and registered cases against the arrested men under the relevant sections of law.
