KARACHI: More rains likely

KARACHI, Aug 17: The Meteorological Department has forecast cloudy weather with chances of thundershower across the city on Friday.

Met officials said that the city received, on an average, 56mm rain in the fresh spell which started on Thursday evening. According to them, 77mm rain was recorded at its Faisal Base observatory, 60mm at Masroor Base, 56mm at airport, 49.8 at North Karachi and 36.4mm at University Road observatories.

The maximum temperature on Thursday was recorded at 35.8 degrees Celsius and the minimum at 24 degrees Celsius with humidity being 75 per cent.

For Friday, the maximum temperature is expected to range between 32 and 34 degrees Celsius. The low pressure over the city is likely to prevail and cause more rain and thundershower, according to the Met office.
