MULTAN, Aug 28: All boards of intermediate and secondary education in Punjab announced the FA and FSc results on Monday. In Multan, a total of 43,466 candidates appeared for the examination out of whom 28,362 were declared successful, showing a pass percentage of 65.25.

Hafiz Mohammad Faisal Javed of The Educators College, Zaid Campus, got the overall first position by getting 1,030 marks out of 1,100 marks.

The second position went to Namra Naeem of the Punjab College for Women, Multan, who secured 1,000 marks.

Anum Zaheer of the Divisional Public Girls Higher Secondary School, Sahiwal, got the third position by securing 995 marks.

In Dera Ghazi Khan, the overall first position was bagged by Sabila Naqvi (17529) of the Layyah Public Higher Secondary School by getting 1005 marks.

Mohammed Naseer (19390) of the Misali Zakaria Secodary School, Muzaffargarh, and Mohammed Qutabuddin (22342) got second and third positions by getting 999 and 998 marks, respectively.

Of 19,910 students appearing under the Dera BISE, 13,297 were declared successful showing a pass percentage of 66.79.

In Gujranwala, in all 61,197 candidates appeared for the examination out of which 43,022 were declared successful with a pass percentage of 70.30.

Goharur Rahman (76413) of the Government Jinnah Islamia College, Sialkot, got the overall first position by getting 990 marks, Mohammad Husain Pervaiz (72507) of the Superior Science College for Boys, Gujranwala, second with 988 marks and Saleem David (75799) of the Punjab College of Commerce for Boys, Gujranwala, and Maria Mahmood (71889) of the Superior Science College for Girls, Gujranwala, third with 985 marks each, respectively.

In Bahawalpur, girls outshone boys by clinching all the three top positions.

A total of 28,794 candidates appeared for the examination out of which 16,612 were declared successful showing a pass percentage of 57.69.

Akhtar (35193) and Sana Sarwar (35194) of the Chishtian Science College for Girls got the overall first and second positions by securing 999 and 995 marks, respectively, while the third position was bagged by Areeba Waseem (36392) of the Government Degree College for Women, Khanpur.

In Sargodha, as many as 19,276 students appeared for the examination out of whom 12,227 were declared successful. Overall pass percentage remained 63.43.

Girls outshone the boys by showing a pass percentage of 70.04 against the boys’ 56.42.

All the top three positions were bagged by the students of the PAF Public School, Sargodha.

Hasan Khan (24622) stood first by getting 948 marks, Akarash Munir Awan (24573) second with 945 marks and Syed Waqar Raza (24585) third with 941 marks.

Most of the toppers intend to become engineers and doctors in future.

Talking to newsmen, they stressed the need for revamping the education system in accordance with the present requirements.

They said private educational institutions were playing an active role in promoting the education of information technology.
