Hockey: Rashid scores twice

LAHORE, Aug 29: Two goals by Rashid Imran propelled Habib Bank Limited (HBL) to a 4-1 win against Punjab in the Governor's Cup hockey tournament at the Hockey Stadium, Faisalabad on Tuesday.

Adeel Hussain and Imran Shah were the other scorers for the bankers.

Punjab scored the consolation goal through Zahid.

Army registered a 3-0 win against POF, Wah as Naeem Abbas, Irfan Ashraf and Asif Shahzad scoring one each.

Wapda beat Karachi Electric Supply Corporation (KESC) 2-1 in the third match of the day.

Asif Michael and Rizwan Butt shared the scoring honour for the winners and Mohammad Arif banged home for the losers.

Three more matches will be played on Wednesday.

Pakistan Steel Mills meet Punjab while PIA take on Sui Gas. National Bank of Pakistan will face POF, Wah.
