NAWABSHAH, Sept 2: Accused in the Rasool Bux Brohi murder case were shifted to the Karachi central jail on Saturday. Nawabshah jail superintendent Syed Afaq Shah said that the case was high profile and security arrangements at the jail were not satisfactory.
He said that the prisoners had been shifted to Karachi after taking an NOC from the Nawabshah district and sessions judge and Sindh IG prisons.
The accused were also produced before the Sakrand judicial magistrate for identification of property.
Eleven accused, including DSP Irfan Bhandar, inspector Nasirul Hassan, SI Mir Farosh and others of the Lyari Task Force, were present in the court.
The main witness, Siddique Brohi, who was to identify the property in parade, could not reach the court.
Judicial Magistrate Suhail Akhtar Mangi ordered depositing of the property in the sessions court.
Riaz Ali Sahir, counsel of complainant, filed an application that he was being threatened by the accused and his life was in danger.
