CHITRAL, Sept 6: Members of provincial assembly from Chitral Maulana Abdur Rehman and Maulana Mohammad Jahangir said on Wednesday that despite providing necessary facilities to the government schools no improvement was visible in their performance.

They expressed dissatisfaction over the performance of government schools, saying that facilities provided to the institutions were going waste.

District Khateeb Maulana Khaleequz Zaman eulogised the services of Qari Faizullah, who had provided the scholarships.

Scholarships worth Rs110,000 were awarded to the top three position holders — Ihsanullah Jan of Govt High School, Mastuj; Ikramullah of Muslim Model School; Effat Kehkeshan of Govt Girls High School, Chitral; and Muhibbul Alam of Broze Public School.
