KHAIRPUR: 39 policemen booked

KHAIRPUR, Sept 19: The Sobhodero police booked 39 policemen, including two SHOs and one ASI, on the orders of the Sukkur bench of the Sindh High Court on Monday night.

Reports reaching here said that the policemen had been booked under section 395, 436, 427, 148, 149 PPC on the complaint of villager Eidan Lashari who accused them of barging into his house in the Alam Lashari village on August 23 and taking away cash, goats, hens and other belongings.

The policemen also beat up members of his family and injured Paryal, Ms Pathani, Ms Amirzadi, Ms Waziran, Sikandar and another woman, said the complainant.

The FIR identifies the two SHOs as Hakim Ali Jalbani, Parvez Ahmed Memon, ASI as Manzoor Ahmed Solangi, conctables Manzoor Narejo, Zulfiqar Shaikh and Mukhtiar Siyal. Thirty-three policemen have been unidentified.

However, police have so far made no arrest.
