KARACHI, Sept 21: A leading Indian firm will provide Pakistan Table Tennis Federation (PTTF) with the necessary equipment free of cost besides giving other items on low prices.

The firm called ‘Stag’ signed a two-year contract with the PTTF earlier this week to provide tables and other equipment, Rakesh Kohli, the CEO of the firm and an international seniors tennis player said on Thursday.

PTTF chief S M Sibtain, confirming the deal with Stag, said that besides equipment the Indian firm also provide coaches to Pakistan for imparting training to junior players.

The PTTF chief also disclosed that a juniors international table tennis tournament will be held in Islamabad from September 4-7 next year.

He added that the second leg of the junior event will be held from September 12-15, 2007 in India. The PTTF chief added that a training camp would also be organised for players from both the countries in India between the two events.—PPI
