KHAIRPUR, Sept 25: People’s Party Parliamentarians MNA Manzoor Hussain Wassan has said that the government does not want to get the Hudood bill passed because it has no interest in solving issues of women.

He said that the government had deliberately raised the issue only to divert people’s attention from the worsening situation in Balochistan and killing of Nawab Akbar Bugti.

Speaking to reporters here on Monday, he said that the Bugti murder had deepened an already increasing sense of deprivation among smaller provinces.

He said that the government had unleashed a propaganda campaign against political parties which were against the federal system and it was not allowing the leadership of two big federal parties to return.

The undemocratic government had led to worsening law and order situation in the province, he said.

Besides, there still was much confusion about the actual responsibilities of DCOs and DPOs and what exactly they were doing.
