PM meets Musharraf

ISLAMABAD, Oct 4: Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz met President Gen Pervez Musharraf on Wednesday and discussed with him “important national matters” besides reviewing the geopolitical environment in the region.

Both the leaders are also understood to have discussed the prevailing political situation in the country with special reference to improving the ruling party’s relations with its allies in the parliament.

According to ISPR, the president and the prime minister exchanged views on the recently-concluded visit by the president to the Headquarters of the European Union (EU) in Brussels, NAM Summit in Havana, address to the UN General Assembly in New York and meetings with US President George Bush, UK Prime Minister Tony Blair, President of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai, Prime Minister of India Manmohan Singh and other world leaders.
