SUKKUR: Man kills wife in Rohri

SUKKUR, Oct 10: A woman was killed by her husband following adomestic dispute in Bedil-Bekas colony in Rohri.

Accused Naeem Korai opened fire fired on his wife Zahida Perveen, 18, killing her on the spot.

The man escaped after committing the crime.

Police shifted the body to the Rohri taluka hospital and later handed over to the relatives after the post-mortem.

Jamalan Umrani, mother of the woman, registered an FIR 132/2006 against her son-in-law Naeem Korai, Asad Korai and Abdul Rahim. No arrest was reported.

She told the police that her daughter married with Naeem some 18 months ago and he often used to torture her for not bearing the child.

KILLED: A minor girl lost her life when a buffalo hit her in Bangul village near Rohri on Monday morning.

Hurmat, daughter of Soomar Labano, 10, was playing in her house when buffalo hit her.

As a result, she was injured and shifted to the Rohri taluka hospital where she succumbed to injuries.

Plumber Dies: A plumber was killed when he fell off an under-construction building in Old Sukkur on Monday evening.

The plumber, Shafiq Ahmed, 40, was working in an under-construction building when he fell off the second floor and injured seriously.

He was taken to the Sukkur civil hospital where he succumbed to injuries.

INJURED: A man was injured and deprived of motorcycle by armed men in Kotla Mirza village in the Daharki police area on Monday morning.

According to reports, Shahnawaz, son of Fazal Ellahi Bhutto, on a motorcycle was going to Daharki from his village when three armed robbers intercepted him.

They injured him on his resistance and drove away the motorcycle.

A case has been registered with the area police against three unknown robbers.
