Cut in number of voters in Gujranwala

GUJRANWALA, Oct 17: The number of voters has decreased by 1.8 million in the fresh registration than that of voters list of 2002 of six district of the division, it is learnt here on Tuesday.

According to election commission source, the numbers of registered voters was 6.57 million in 2002 which now has reduced to 4.76 million.

The number of registered voters in Gujranwala in 2002 was 1.9 million, Sialkot 1.5 million, Narowal 734,028, Hafizabad 426,044, Gujrat 1.2 million and Mandi Bahauddin 726,611 whereas in 2006, the number was 1.3 million, 1.1 million, 498,660, 319,959, 1 million, 520,543, respectively.
