HARIPUR: Student beaten with iron rod

HARIPUR, Oct 19: A sixth-grade student accused his class teacher of beating him with an iron rod over a petty mistake in Hattar village here on Thursday.

Police quoted Arslam Aziz, studying in the Govt High School Hattar, as saying that he was punished for quarrelling with a classmate.

The police have referred the boy to the rural health centre in Kot Najibullah for medical opinion. According to police, the teacher had escaped and was still at large.—Correspondent
