KARACHI, Oct 19: Almost all top men and women players of the country are due to feature in Rs2,50,000 Arif Habib Subh-e-Nau National Clay Court Tennis Championship which runs at Islamabad Club from Oct 30 to Nov 4, Mrs. Shahida Kauser Farooq, chairperson Subh-e-Nau, announced on Thursday.

The events that will be held include men’s singles, men’s doubles, ladies singles, juniors’ under-17, juniors’ under-13, mixed doubles and senior’s doubles (50 plus).

According to organisers, junior players will have to prove their ages while the tournament committee has been empowered to ask any player to undergo wrist test to ascertain the actual age if required.Entries can be submitted to Shahzad Akhtar Alvi, Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF), latest by Oct 28 5pm.

Subh-e-Nau, an environmental NGO, revived the National Clay Court championship in the year 2000 after a long time.
