HYDERABAD, Nov 6: The teaching of English language has been introduced in 10 Urdu/Sindhi medium schools under the instructions of the district nazim of Hyderabad, Kanwar Naveed Jamil, for the 2006-2007 session.

According to the programme, 100 Urdu/Sindhi medium schools will be converted into English medium next year.

A spokesman for the district nazim said here on Sunday, that the conversion of schools into English medium had become necessary to improve the standard of education and to restore the confidence of the people in the public schools.

The schools, which have been converted into English medium included, Hopeful government boys primary school, Liaquat government boys primary school, Model government girls primary school (city taluka) and others.
