LARKANA, Nov 15: The culture of criticism has been, under a conspiracy, excluded from the Sindhi literature rendering it ineffective. This was stated by Awami Tehrik chief Rasool Bakhsh Palijo at a lecture on Sindhi literature here on Tuesday. The lecture was organised by the Sindhi Adabi Sangat.

“We will strive to not only revive criticism in the Sindhi literature but strengthen it, which is vital for creativity and expansion,” he said.

Literature, serving as a tool for change, could not be created in Asia because of religious influences.

He said that the conditions cast a direct impact on society and left its prints on Sindhis.

Mr Palijo, author of several literary and political books, said that men of letters could play their role to change people’s minds infected with remnants of the slavery culture.

He said that renowned poet Kishanchand Baiwas took lead in speaking about humanism in his poetry.

He said that Ustad Bukhari was a real follower of Shah Latif and by following him one could achieve the goal.
