SUKKUR, Feb 15: A Pakistan People’s Party leader and former deputy opposition leader in the National Assembly, Syed Khurshid Ahmed Shah, has accused the government of victimizing positive thinking politicians in order to remove them from the political scene.

He was speaking at a press conference at the house of acting PPP city president Jamil Sehto here on Thursday.

He referred to a report published in a newspaper of Karachi, in which it was said that the National Accountability Bureau would try him in a corruption case of the amusement park, and added that the government was also planning to try him in the Bunder road plot and other cases.

He said that accountability process had become farce after Nawaz Sharif, Mansoor-ul-Haq and others were released and added that Islam did not allow to release the defaulters of billions of rupees.

He said that the amusement park was a project of the federal government and not that of the World Bank and its estimated cost was Rs300 million.
