MINGORA, Nov 20: The Embassy of Japan in collaboration with the Pakistan-Japan Cultural Association, NWFP, and the MEXT Alumni Association of Pakistan organised a children art competition and a speech contest here on Monday.
Forty-five students of 12 to 14 years of age from 18 schools took part in the event held to promote talent and creativity of child artists. The theme of the art competition was “Future vision of Pakistan” and that of speech contest “Japan-Pakistan relations and challenges of the 21st century”.
Hussain Ahmad Kanju, provincial minister for tourism, sports and culture who was the chief guest, Roeeda Kabeer, president of PJCA, NWFP, and Hisao Nishimaki, director of the press, information and culture department, Embassy of Japan, gave away prizes to winners.
