HYDERABAD, Nov 21: The Pakistan chapter of the South Asia Lawyers’ Forum has criticised the railways ministries of India and Pakistan for an inordinate delay in repairing the Khokhropar-Munabao railway track.
It said that the people intending to visit India and Pakistan were being subjected to a lot of inconvenience and tension due to indifferent attitude of the railway ministries of the two countries.
In a statement issued here on Tuesday, SALF leaders Riazuddin Qureshi, vice-chairman Abbas Ali Jafri and information secretary Aijaz Bawani said that both the counties had ample resources to repair damaged railway track, but they were not working sincerely to repair the track.
They appealed to the prime ministers of the two countries to take notice of slow pace of work and direct their railway ministries to repair the tracks on a war footing to restore the Thar Express service.
They said that the matter was not even discussed in the meeting of the foreign secretaries of the two countries held in Delhi.
They said that this had created a lot of confusion and misgivings in the minds of people of the two countries.
LUMHS: The controller of examinations of the Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences on Tuesday announced that last date for submission of examination forms of first professional MBBS (part-I) annual examination 2007 at LUMHS Jamshoro, Chandka Medical College Larkana and People’s Medical College without late fee has been fixed as December 6, while the last date for submission of examination forms with late fee of Rs200 has been fixed as December 12, 2006.
The controller has announced that postgraduate MPhil part-I degree course examination 2006 will be held from November 22, at LUMHS Jamshoro.
BISE: The controller of examinations of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Hyderabad on Tuesday announced that practical test of HSC part-II (class-XII) supplementary examination 2006 in physics, chemistry, biology, computer science, library science, outlines of home economics and home economic group would be held from December 4, at various centres.
