ABBOTTABAD, Nov 26: Chief Justice of Peshawar High Court Justice Tariq Pervez Khan has said that 90 per cent of the FIRs registered by police do not reflect the true version of complainants, which leads to defective investigation and subsequent denial of justice.

He was speaking at the concluding session of a three-day training workshop on ‘Police Investigations’ at Jalal Baba Auditorium here on Saturday.

The workshop was attended by police officers from Abbottabad, Haripur, Mansehra and Battagram as well as newly-recruited ASPs from Islamabad and Punjab. Justice Khan said hectic efforts were being made to change ‘Thaana and Kuchehry Culture’.
