HYDERABAD, Nov 28: The Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry has expressed concern over the failure of Hyderabad police to find culprits behind a theft of medicines worth Rs12 million.

At a meeting of the executive committee of the chamber held here on Tuesday, chamber leaders expressed no confidence in the district police.

Yousuf Suleman presided over the meeting.

The meeting said that it was the biggest theft of medicines from the godown in the Site area several months ago but police had miserably failed to find the criminals.

It noted that the business community was suffering from a sense of insecurity and such incidents discouraged investment in the province.

It observed that there was a tendency to shift industrial units from Sindh to other places due to insecurity which would certainly increase unemployment.

The meeting demanded that the provincial police officer (IG Sindh) to direct the Hyderabad police to unearth the culprits of the theft.
