KHAIRPUR: PPP foundation day observed

KHAIRPUR, Nov 30: To celebrate the foundation day of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), a ceremony was held here on Thursday. It was presided over by MPA Nawab Wassan.

Speaking on the occasion, Nawab Wassan said that Zulfilkar Ali Bhutto gave awareness to people, which weakened the grip of feudal lords on politics. He said that Benazir Bhutto carried the same process ahead.

A similar ceremony was organised by the People’s Lawyers Forum (PLF) at its local office. PLF president Liaquat Shar said that democracy did not exist in the country due to which people’s problems remained unresolved.—Correspondent
