HYDERABAD, Dec 6: Two more units of Jamshoro thermal power house were energised on Tuesday and Wednesday morning while only unit-II remained dysfunctional for want of repairs after being damaged in a fire that broke out on December 3.

A power house source said on Wednesday, that Unit-3 started power generation at 3.30 am while unit-I started functioning at 11.20 am. Only unit-II remained non-functional which needed a thorough inspection after being damaged in the fire which broke out following a fault in the cables.

Now 340mw of electricity was being produced from three units. The source maintained that a detailed examination of the plant would be carried out by the officials of the power house while a team may also visit from Wapda House, Lahore, for inspection because a report to this effect had been submitted to the headquarters.
