HYDERABAD, Dec 11: The planning and development department of the the Hyderabad Development Authority (HDA) notified here on Monday that the booking being carried out in Gulshan-e-Imtiaz Housing Scheme, deh Gujjo, Noorani Basti, ward-G, was illegal as it was in violation of the Building Control Ordinance 1979/82.

The Authority has advised the people not to invest in any project for which NOC has not been issued by the building control department. It said that action was being taken against the builders of the above scheme under relevant laws.

WATER PIPELINE: The District Nazim, Kanwar Naveed Jamil, has directed the consultant, contractors and the concerned officers to ensure the laying of pipeline from downstream Kotri to filter plants before the annual closure of canals so that the citizens did not face shortage of water on the auspicious occasion of Eidul Azha.

He issued these directives her on Monday while inspecting the water extension project. The Managing Director WASA, Kafeel Ahmed, chief resident officer of a private company, Niaz Ali Shar, technical officer Faheem Akhtar Junejo and other concerned officers were also present on the occasion.

He also inspected the chemical quoting of the water pipelines against rust. He made it clear that the delay in the water expansion project costing Rs650 million will not be tolerated. He reiterated that the expansion programme should be completed before December 25.

He expressed dissatisfaction over the pace of work and directed that the under construction roads should be made serviceable before the advent of Muharram.
