KARACHI, Dec 19: Aimel Fahim guided defending champions Sir Syed College to a 29-15 victory over Commecs College to enter the semi-final of Karachi Board Inter- collegiate Girls Basketball tournament at the formers court on Tuesday.

Aimel led the team from the front by contributing 13 points including two three pointers. Sidra scored 10 points for the losers.

Sir Syed College now takes on Bahria College Karsaz who got the better of PECHS College 22-15 in the other quarter-final.

St. Joseph’s College and Bahria College M. T. Khan qualified to meet each other in the other pre-final by outplaying their respective opponent’s in the one-sided games.

While St. Joseph’s subdued Government Girls College Gulshan-i-Iqbal 30-0, Bahria College tamed Government Girls College Landhi-Korangi 32-0.

Earlier, the quarter-finals were preceded by last round of league matches the other day.

Bahria College M. T. Khan Road overcame DHA 10-7. Javeria (6) and Sana (4) were the main scorers for winners. Anam scored 5 points for losers.

Gulshan-i-Iqbal College gave a 12-0 drubbing to St. Lawrence College with Nida Sharif emerging top scorer with 10 points.

St. Joseph’s chalked up 15-0 victory over Karachi College. Maham Zafar shone for the winners with 13 points.
