PESHAWAR, Dec 28: Pugilists from Punjab, Balochistan, KESC and hosts NWFP confirmed their places in the finals of different categories at the third All-Pakistan Boxing Tournament here at the PSB Gymnasium on Thursday.

Sindh’s Ramzan Baloch defeated Naeem Khan of NWFP-A in the 75kg category bout.

In the other semi-final Mohammad Hadi of Balochistan beat PAF’s Mohammad Anwar in the 60kg class.

In the 64kg semi-final, Akbar Ali of Sindh downed Ali Khan of NWFP-A while KESC’s Sajjad Ali Qambarani overpowered Khizarullah of NWFP-B.

In the 69kg bout, Yousuf Awan of Punjab beat Badal Shah of Sindh 13-2. In the other fight of the same category KESC’s Javed Jan reached the final after defeating Hameed Anjum of Balochistan.—APP
