KHAIRPUR, Jan 7: General Secretary of the Sindh United Party (SUP), Syed Ghulam Shah, has said that agencies were involved in disappearances of nationalist workers. Talking to newsmen here on Sunday after offering condolences to the family of Hari leader Shah Mohammad Durrani, he said when the agencies were asked about it, “they make us to shuttle between the provincial and federal governments.”

He said that the SUP would struggle for protection of Bhindhar and Dingi island off Port Qasim which were the property of Sindh and being snatched from Sindhi people in the name of development.

He said that people of Sindh were conveyed a message through this act that they were slaves and being treated like slaves as their properties, jobs and other basic rights were being snatched.

He said that Sardar Akhtar Mengal was facing political victimisation as he took a stand for the rights of people of Balochistan and against killing of Nawab Akbar Bugti. He added that Mengal's children and family were being harassed by the agencies.

He added that Sardar Akhtar Mengal remained chief minister of Balochistan but he was brought in the court blindfolded whereas his trial in jail reminded of operation carried out against Bengali leaders before dismemberment of the country in 1971.
