3 US airmen killed in Iraq

BAGHDAD, Jan 7: A roadside bomb killed three US airmen in Baghdad on Sunday, taking the military's total losses in Iraq since the March 2003 invasion to 3,003, according to an AFP count based on Pentagon figures. The three airmen assigned to the 447th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron's explosive ordnance division were killed by the bomb “while performing duties in Baghdad area”, the military said. Another airman was also wounded in the blast.
