HYDERABAD: Absconder arrested

HYDERABAD, Jan 10: The Sakhi Pir police have arrested one Sajid alias Sajoo Detha for his alleged involvement in the murder case of cousin of former SHO Makki Shah police station Sabir Hussain Gaddi. He was caught red handed while attempting an armed robbery.

According to DPO Hyderabad, Ali Ahmed Junejo, SHO Sakhi Pir Aurangzeb Abbasi, raided a place near Timber Market where Sajid alias Sajoo Detho was arrested. The DPO said that the accused was a member of Rahim Dino's gang and is a proclaimed offender.

He was involved in an armed robbery in which Habib, the cousin of former SHO Makki Shah police station, was gunned down in the jurisdiction of Fort police station on Oct 12, 2006 while his brother was seriously injured. Sajid was wanted in several cases as two cases each were pending against him at Fort and Sakhi Pir police station while one case each was lodged with the Qasimabad and Phulelli police.
