LARKANA: Suspect arrested

LARKANA, Feb 18: In a significant move for the recovery of Hussain Bakhsh Narijo and his friend, the Larkana police have arrested a culprit known for his alleged association with the dacoits.

Well-placed sources said that police in a raid near Shahdadkot arrested Hamzo Jamali, an alleged ‘Patharidar’ of the area and accomplice of dacoits Saroo Chandio and Mubeen Narejo.

Police said they suspected that the notorious dacoits used to visit the accused near Larkana. The gang of Saroo Chandio and Mubeen Narijo is suspected of being involved in the kidnapping of prominent political activist and MRD leader Hussain Bakhsh Narijo and his writer friend, Manthar Solangi.

GUTTED: At least 40 huts were gutted near Nasirabad on Sunday when a fire broke out.

The fire broke out in the makeshift houses of Brohi clan near Ahmed Khan Khoso village and within moments burnt to ashes forty huts.

As much as 600 maunds paddy, seven goats, Rs50,000 and other household articles were gutted.—Correspondent
