HYDERABAD, Jan 13: The mortal remains of renowned artist and sculptor Zafar Kazmi were buried as "Amanat" at the main park of Sindh Museum on Saturday morning at the insistence of local writers, poets and intellectuals. The remains would be taken to his native Aamri village at a later date.

At the request of late Kazmi's sons, his remains were laid to rest at the park of Sindh Museum with the permission of Sindh Culture Department.

Maulvi Allah Bachayo Leghari led the Janaza prayers attended by Sindh Culture Department Director General Shams Jafrani and former secretary culture Abdul Hameed Akhund, Gul Mohammad Umrani, MPA Zahid Bhurgry, incumbent director of Sindh Museum Ghulam Hussain Qambrani, late Kazmi’s brothers Syed Ahmed Kazmi and Syed Iqbal Kazmi, sons-in-law Syed Tahir Hussain, Syed Sajjad Hussain and Abdul Karim Memon besides a large number of writers and intellectuals.
