Speaking on the occasion, the leaders said that following the annual closure of canal, people of many areas of Sukkur were facing drinking water shortage.
They slammed the TMA for its failure to adopt alternate measures for the smooth supply of drinking water to the people.
Strongly condemning the law and order situation in the city and its suburbs, the leaders said that seven incidents of robbery had taken place in Gharib Abad, Barrage Colony, New Goth, Old Sukkur and Sangrar on Friday, which exposed the poor performance of the police.
Besides this, they said that most of the main city roads, including Clock Tower, Mehran Markaz, Barrage Road, Hussaini Road, Shikarpur Road, Workshop Road and others, were under sewage water and the TMA was not taking interest to drain it out.
