Solid start by Gujranwala

KARACHI, Feb 18: Gujranwala made steady progress to reach 227 for four in their first innings on the first day of their Quaid Trophy Grade-I tie against Faisalabad at Jinnah Stadium in Gujranwala Monday.

Openers Ehtesham Younis (39) and Rizwan Malik (61) laid the platform for a big total by sharing a partnership of 91 in 127 minutes after Mubashir Nazir won the toss.

Imran Abbas then kept up the good work by striking an unbeaten 60.
