KPT bag boxing title

KARACHI, Jan 17: Karachi Port Trust (KPT) won the National Cadet and Junior boxing championships at KPT Sports Complex on Wednesday.

They won five gold, a silver medal in the cadet class, while snared three gold, two silver and equal number of bronze medals in the junior class to emerge victors.

KPT were followed by Sindh who collected three gold medals along with two silver and a bronze in the cadet category, while won three gold, a silver and a bronze in the junior class.

Cadet:

46kg: Rashid Fateh (KPT) bt Nadir Ali (KESC) 28-20. Gadeer Hussain (Balochistan) and Mohammad Waqas (Punjab) (bronze).

48kg: Abdul Wahid (KPT) bt Asif Raza (Navy) 18-9. Sikandar (NWFP) and Shaoib Murad (Sindh) (bronze).

50kg: Halar Qambrani (Sindh) bt Aurangzaib (KPT) 30-21. Ali Ahmad (Balochistan) and Mohammad Ahmad (Punjab) (bronze).

52kg: Samiullah (KPT) bt Usman Butt (Punjab) 13-3 retired. Khalid Hussain (KESC) and Mohsin Khan (NWFP) (bronze).

54kg: Qadir Khan (Navy) bt Mohammad Hussain (Sindh) 10-3. Khaliq Dad (Balochistan) and Shahnawaz (KESC) (bronze).

57kg: Adnan Hussain (KPT) bt Mehdi (Balochistan) 27-7. Amir Khan (Sindh) (bronze).

60kg: Zahid Saleem (KPT) bt Arshad Hussain (Sindh) 30-23. Hameedullah (Balochistan) (bronze).

Junior:

48kg: Jibran Munna (Sindh) bt Zeeshan Butt (Punjab) 38-24. Fareedullah (Balochistan) and Majid Musa (KPT) (bronze).

51kg: Abdul Wahab (Sindh) bt Irfan Kachchi (KPT) 31-23. Zakir Hussain (Punjab) and Naimatullah (Balochistan) (bronze).

54kg: Mohammad Ali (KPT) bt Asif (Navy) 86-84. Akbar Ali (KESC) and Mohammad Arshad (Punjab) (bronze).

57kg: Mohammad Iqbal (KPT) bt Mohammad Hadi (Balochistan) 36-34. Zuhair (NWFP) and Sajid Farman (Punjab) (bronze).

60kg: Riaz China (KESC) bt Hassan Ali (Sindh) RSC/OS/I. Abdul Sami (NWFP) and Anwar Shah (Balochistan) (bronze).

64kg: Arshad Hussain (KPT) bt Imdad Ali (Balochistan) 32-10. Abkar Ali (Sindh) (bronze).

69kg: Majid Ali (Navy) bt Maaz Khan (KPT) 27-12. Mehdi Zahid (Balochistan) and Hassan Arif (KESC) (Punjab) (bronze).

75kg: Ramzan Baloch (Sindh) bt Muqeem Khan (Balochistan) RSC/OC/I. Qasim (Punjab) (bronze).
