HYDERABAD, Jan 19: Senior PPP leader and in-charge of the study circle of PPP Sindh, Maula Bux Chandio, has said that Sindh Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim, seems to be upset because he knows that he and his party will be defeated in the forthcoming elections.

He said if any rigging was carried out in the ensuing general elections, People’s Party Parliamentarians would not accept the results and the consequences will be disastrous.

He claimed that PPP was the only party which could keep the country intact.

He was addressing a hurriedly called press conference at the press club here on Friday. On the occasion scores of political activists from other parties, including PML-N announced to join the PPP.

Mr Chandio said that PPP did not believe in nationalities, caste, colour or creed and that was the reason that it had strong roots in all the provinces.

He said this was also the reason that political activists were joining the PPP in droves. He said, the Urdu-speaking people like Sindhis had equal rights in Sindh and urged them to come forward and take full part in the movement against anti-Sindh projects.

Referring to the recent statements of Sindh chief minister against the PPP leadership, he said that Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim seemed to have lost all his wits and was baffled due to the popularity of the PPP.

He said party chairperson Ms Benazir Bhutto was pleading the case of Pakistan at the international fora.
