HYDERABAD, Jan 22: Activists of Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM) on Monday staged a protest demonstration outside the press club against alleged police raid on the house of a party leader Raheem Bux Detho.

Local party leaders Mustafa Panhwar, Zamir Mirani and Dhani Bux Detho alleged that police was conducting raids on Mr Detho’s house almost every day after implicating him in false cases and appealed to higher authorities to order a judicial inquiry into the matter.

PPP PROTEST: Activists of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) staged a protest demonstration outside the press club on Monday against prolonged imprisonment of a central leader of Sindh People’s Students Federation, Junaid Buland.

Party leaders Shahid Iqbal, Rana Adnan, Nazim Lashari and Jambeer Kamboh said that Mr Buland had been languishing in jails for three years under false cases.

They said that Mr Buland was suffering from hepatitis and kidneys problem.

They said that his condition had grown so worse that the jail authorities had to admit him to civil hospital Hyderabad, they said and appealed to superior judiciary to order the release of their ailing leader.
