HYDERABAD: Four highwaymen held

HYDERABAD, Jan 25: The Hyderabad police claimed to have arrested four alleged highwaymen from near the Pabban police post on Wednesday night. The DPO of Hyderabad, Ali Ahmed Junejo, told a press conference that the arrested highwaymen included, Porho Kolhi, Nabi Bux Machhi, Allah Bachayo Hajano and Mukhtiar Ali.

A double barrel gun, a 7mm rifle, two pistols, cartridges, live bullets, a cell phone, wrist watch and Rs40,000 were also recovered from their possession, he claimed. The alleged bandits were arrested following an encounter on Sheikh Bhirkio link road.

A police party headed by DSP of Taluka, Mohammad Ali Baloch, rushed to the spot following an information that gangsters were looting vehicles.

The bandits opened fire on the police in order to flee from the area. They were chased and finally arrested.
