ABBOTTABAD, Jan 28: The Basic Education for Afghan Refugees (BRFARe) organised a Voter Education Programme here on Saturday.

Held in collaboration with the Asian Foundation, the one-day programme was attended by teachers from various government colleges of Haripur, Mansehra, Battagram and Abbottabad.

Resource persons Ashley Bar and Rehmat Ali Mujahid briefed the participants about the salient features of the programme.

They taught them the procedure of casting vote, and how they would guide the first timers to cast vote from the platform of their respective colleges.

The resources persons delivered lectures. They used charts and gave a practical display on the exercise of vote casting. They also responded to the queries of the participants.

Suggestions put forward by the participants would be forwarded to the Election Commission of Pakistan.
