HYDERABAD, Feb 2: Sindh Chief Minister paid a visit to Qadamgah-i-Maula Ali here on Friday and announced Rs10 million grant for extension and renovation of the holy site.

He offered Friday prayers at Sakhi Hazrat Abdul Wahab Shah Jilani mosque after offering fateha at the saint’s tomb.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that extension and beautification works at the shrines of Qalandar Lal Shahbaz, Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai and Abdullah Shah Ghazi were in progress and after their completion, devotees would have more facilities.Directing transparent utilization of development funds, the chief minister warned that irresponsible officers would be made accountable.

Later, he left for Kotri to attend a meeting of Pakistan Muslim League workers.

PAF RECRUITMENT: The Pakistan Air Force has announced that registration for commission in GD (pilot), engineering, air defence and administration and special duty branches is in progress and will continue till February 10.

According to the announcement, unmarried male and female candidates between 16 to 22 years up to October 15, 2007, with height up to 5'-4" for the posts of fighter pilot, air defence and A&SD and up to 4'-10" for the posts in aeronautical engineering section are eligible to apply.

Candidates for the post of fighter pilot and jobs in air defence and A&SD must have passed intermediate examination with 50 per cent marks. Candidates interested in aeronautical engineering jobs must have qualified matriculation and intermediate examinations at least with 60 per cent marks.

The announcement said that female candidates could apply only for the post of fighter pilot and jobs in aeronautical engineering branch.

Candidates have been advised to contact PAF Information and Selection Centre, Hyderabad, with four passport size photographs, CNIC or form-B, educational certificates and mark-sheets. More information can be obtained on phone No. 022-9200936.
