HYDERABAD, Feb 4: Chief of Sindh United Party (SUP) Syed Jalal Mehmood Shah on Sunday announced support for the ruling PML's candidate Pir Mujeeb Shah Jillani in the by-elections of PS-71 (Dadu-I) seat scheduled for February 10.

A formal announcement to this effect was made in Sann when the Sindh Minister for Revenue, Dr Irfan Gul Magsi, Adviser to Sindh chief minister Kishanchand Parwani and adviser to chief minister Pir Zaman Shah and PML's candidate Pir Mujeeb Shah Jillani called on Syed Jalal Shah, at Sanh on Sunday evening to seek support for the PML candidate against PPP candidate.

Mr Shah told Dawn over phone that he had a meeting with the Sindh chief minister two days back in Karachi and the latter had sought his support for PML's candidate.

He added that he himself was supported by PML during district nazim's elections in 2005 and in the general elections of 2002.
