QUETTA, Feb 4: Former prime minister Zafarullah Khan Jamali said on Sunday that the present assemblies would re-elect Gen Pervez Musharraf as president for another five-year term.
Speaking as chief guest at the inaugural ceremony of a gas supply project in Gandakha in Jaffarabad district, Mr Jamali said that the Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGCL) started gas supply to 18 villages in Jaffarabad and Nasirabad districts which would benefit 65,000 consumers in the area.
The project was completed at a cost of Rs68.625 million which was funded by the federal government, he said, adding that gas supply projects have been completed in 59 villages in Jaffarabad and Nasirabad districts and 12 other villages would also be provided gas by the end of the current fiscal year.
He thanked the managing director of SSGCL for implementing his approved projects and said that problems of people of his constituencies will be solved.
Speaking on the occasion, SSGCL MD Munawar Baseer Ahmed said that gas supply projects were approved for Ziarat, Kalat, Jaffarabad and Nasirabad when Mr Jamali was prime minister.
He said gas supply projects to other 12 villages would also be completed by the end of the current financial year. He said work is in progress on various gas supply projects at a cost of Rs10 billion in different areas in Balochistan and Sindh. Jaffarabad District Nazim Khan Mohammad Jamali, MPA Haider Khan Jamali, Tehsil Nazim Gandakha Zulfiqar Khan Jamali also spoke on the occasion.
