Charsadda facing civic problems

PESHAWAR, Feb 10: A 19-member delegation of the Matta Mughal Khel area of Charsadda district called on NWFP Governor Ali Mohammad Jan Aurakzai at the Governor's House here on Saturday and apprised him of problems being faced by the area people.

The delegation, led by MPA Rukhsana Naz, invited the governor’s attention towards lack of educational facilities, dilapidated condition of roads and disruption in electricity supply and sought his help in this respect.

Members of the delegation informed the governor that prolonged power shutdowns had become a routine matter.

The governor on the occasion directed the Pesco officials to look into the matter and make efforts to address these complaints.

The governor was informed by the officials that Pesco was trying to ensure smooth supply of electricity to the area.

Regarding the law and order situation in the area, the governor informed the delegation that the government had already approved the establishment of 50 new platoons of the Frontier Constabulary and recruitment process in this respect was in process.
