DADU, Feb 12: The additional and sessions judge of Kotri on Monday directed the SHO of Budhapur police station to submit a report on February 19 on the clash between Pakistan People’s Party and Pakistan Muslim League-Q activists at a polling station in Budhapur and firing on Dr Azra Pechuho, former PPP MNA and sister of Asif Ali Zardari.

Dr Pechuho filed a petition against SHO at the district and sessions court Jamshoro through Advocate Pir Mazharul Haq after the SHO reportedly refused to register an FIR of the incident.

The sessions judge sent the application to additional sessions judge of Kotri who issued notices provincial ministers Altaf Unnar, Dr Sohrab Sarki, PML leader Malik Changez, Ghulam Ali Khoso and Misri Khoso and directed the SHO to submit a report on February 19.

Dr Pechuho said in her application that on February 10, the polling day of by-elections, she was standing outside the Budhapur polling station at the PPP candidate's camp when the above-mentioned ministers with 70 armed people forced into the polling station and started casting bogus votes in favour of PML candidate.

When PPP polling agent Abdul Sattar Brohi stopped them they pushed him outside and injured Ismail Dahri, Sohrab Mari, Dr Javed Rajpar, Ms Jannat, PPP MNA Aijaz Jakhrani and Noor Nawaz Zardari with clubs and butts of guns and continued stuffing ballot boxes with bogus votes, she said.

They also opened fire at her when she was sitting in her vehicle shattering the wind screen, she said and added that she went to Budhapur police station to register an FIR but the SHO refused.
