THATTA, Feb 25: The Anti-Corruption Establishment arrested a former Mukhtiarkar and two Tapedars here on Sunday for allegedly changing property deeds of hundreds of acres of the state land in favour of some people.

Ali Akbar Habibani, the Circle Officer of the ACE, Thatta, alleged that former Mukhtiarkar of Keti Bunder taluka Mohammad Yaqoob Kumbhar in connivance with Tapedars Salim Gorai Baloch and Ghulam Rasool Jamari was involved in fraudulent change of property deeds of state land in Kharochhan, Keti Bunder and Ghorabari in the name of some bussinessmen from Karachi rendering loss of millions of rupees to the provincial exchequer.

An FIR has been lodged under section 477, 465, 468 and 34, PPC, and the accused have been lodged in the Thatta police station lockup.

ROAD BLOCKED: Traffic remained suspended on the National Highway for about an hour as members of Brohi and Niazi communities blocked it near Filter Plant following an armed clash between two rival groups on Sunday.

Three men from both the parties were injured in the clash.
