HYDERABAD, March 6: The All-Pakistan Technical Draftsmen Association appealed on Tuesday to the prime minister to upgrade the technical staff on the pattern of non-technical staff (clerks).

In a communication to the premier chairman of the association Hafiz Matloob Ahmed Chishti said that the finance division upgraded the non-technical staff but ignored the technical staff, which had caused great frustration among them.

He pointed out that in the past the pay-scale of technical staff - tracers, draftsmen, divisional head draftsmen and circle head draftsmen – used to be equal to that of clerical staff. — Bureau
